Esther is an integrative psychotherapist who combines a variety of therapeutic approaches to address what a client brings to therapy, in a unique and individual manner. She sees the development of a healthy therapeutic connection as an important tool in the journey to healing. Esther adopts acquired knowledge of neuroscience to help clients to gain insight into how they can both self monitor and regulate thus gaining more control of difficulties in the face of emotional and mental distress. She will work with you around concerns such as loss and abandonment, trauma, anxiety, parenting and long term physical conditions including HIV.
Her previous roles include teaching high school students, counsellor training and training GP practice staff. In addition to Private Practice work, Esther runs a HIV support programme; she also trains teachers in social and emotional development of children, both absolutely vital if a child is to blossom academically.
Having worked in Kenya and the U.K, Esther brings in extensive knowledge and experience in the links between multi-cultural, socio-cultural and psychological perspectives of day to day difficulties.
